Healing Spirit Expo set for April 25Date: 3/20/2015 NORTHAMPTON – Regional metaphysical businesses, readers, healing practitioners and authors will converge on April 25 to bring light, hope and love to “A Healing Spirit Expo.”
“Our expo began four years ago with one goal,” Wendy Birchall of Southwick, founder of the event and owner of Earth Angel Design, said. “We wanted to bring together metaphysical businesses and speakers as a way of celebrating and creating awareness of the connection between spirit, mind and body, and its relationship to our health and well-being.”
During an interview with Reminder Publications, Birchall noted that the expo, slated at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center, 1 Atwood Drive, offers a respite from the chaos of life.
“The purpose of the day is to allow our guests the opportunity to make this day about themselves, something we don’t allow ourselves to do very often,” she said.
Birchall added that whether it is sitting in on a presentation or two, listening to live music, having an appointment with a healing practitioner, or browsing vendor booths, guests will be encouraged to spend the day doing the things they find joy in.
“Our belief is a better you, a better world,” she said.
This year’s theme is “Heaven is a place on Earth.”
“This sets an intention for the day and many of our speaker’s presentations are designed with our theme in mind,” said Birchall.
Speakers during the day include Roland Comtois, “Awaken the Messenger Within,” Barbara Hardie, “Creating Heaven on Earth,” Matthew Andrews, “Awakening the Physical Consciousness,” Debra Franklin, “Overcoming Obstacles to Empower,” Shanthi Yogini, “Healing through Chanting,” Tanya Tarrail, “How to Manifest Heaven,” and Dan Lupacchino, “Mastering the Human.” Also, Gail Franceschetti, “Allowing Yourself To Go There: Heaven or Hell It’s Your Choice,” Joan Brigham, “Invitation to the Light,” Lisa Wilson, “Marconics: The Clarion Call,” and Bhavna Srivastava, “Angels, the Divine, Love & Peace.”
Birchall noted that what also sets this expo apart from others in the region is the music area.
“This is something new this year and one of the reasons why I relocated the expo to Northampton,” she said. “We have created a space where live metaphysical/healing music will be shared all day.”
Musicians slated to perform include Ed Cleveland of The Healers Lounge, who is the lead musician for the opening ceremony, closing ceremony and during lunch, and Brooke Gillespie and AJ Block of Dream Seed, who will play at scheduled times throughout the day.
“Just sitting there for a while will be quite an experience,” said Birchall.
Metaphysical businesses will be offering a myriad of products throughout the day, ranging from divination cards, books, chakra jewelry, crystals and minerals, and aromatherapy items, to services including readings, aura photography, spiritual counseling, and reflexology. Additionally, the Vortex Dance Studio will be presenting cabaret style dance demonstrations for raising one’s self esteem.
The expo is planned from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and an evening program by Roland Comtois titled “Heaven: The Experience” begins at 7 p.m.
Birchall noted that Comtois’ near-death experience will take participants to a place beyond time and space with a visual and auditory experience with original music and score, that will touch one’s heart and answer the one question that has been on the mind of mankind – “Does Heaven exist?”
“As you can see from the title it’s bringing the theme of the day full circle,” said Birchall.
