‘Martinis’ event benefits Melanoma Foundation of New EnglandDate: 9/4/2014 SPRINGFIELD – The Melanoma Foundation of New England (MFNE) announced recently that it will host a fundraising event, Martinis for Melanoma, in Springfield on Sept. 9.
“We're really excited for this event,” Meghan Rothschild, local melanoma survivor and public relations and marketing manager for the MFNE. “We have a lot of local businesses and community members involved with the planning. It’s shaping up to be an incredible evening.”
The event will take place at Luxe Burger Bar in downtown Springfield at 6 p.m.
The evening will feature live music by The Looney Tunes, appetizers and spreads from Luxe and a signature martini, all included with guests’ ticket.
Raffle items have been donated from various businesses across the state including SkinCatering, The Westin Boston, Stella & Dot jewelry and many others.
Additionally, many local businesses have stepped up to the sponsorship plate to support the event.
ArchitectureEL, Inc, Chicopee Savings Bank, Rock 102 and Starburst Printing and Graphics to name a few. Brian Lapis, meteorologist from 22News will be the evening's master of ceremonies.
“We're happy to be supporting this local event,” Kevin Rothschild-Sheam founder and president of ArchitectureEL Inc., said. “This is a great cause involving many of our community members right here in Western MA. We're proud to be a part of it.”
Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door and can be purchased by visiting MFNE.org/martinis-for-melanoma.
