Date: 11/2/2010

LONGMEADOW -- Bay Path College will hold an overnight program for prospective students on Nov. 10 and 11 at the Longmeadow Campus on 588 Longmeadow St.

Designed for young women who are juniors and seniors in high school or transfer college students, the event gives participants the opportunity to spend a night in one of the college's residence halls, attend academic and interest sessions, meet professors and current students, and tour the campus.

Prospective students and their parents will also be invited to meet with representatives from Bay Path's admissions and financial aid offices to discuss the college's generous scholarship program and other sources of financial assistance available to undergraduates at Bay Path.

One of the most affordable private colleges in New England, Bay Path gives 100 percent of new full-time students a guaranteed scholarship or grant.

The average total aid package for students with financial need in the Class of 2013 was $24,000. Students can qualify for merit scholarships worth up to $13,000.

The Student Financial Services staff will also be available during the overnight program to answer students' and their families' questions about financial aid.
