Springfield School Volunteers seek readers for read aloud program

Springfield School Volunteers is seeking readers for the Springfield School Volunteers /Babson Capital Management LLC Read Aloud Program, now in its 24th year. Volunteers will read to students in grades pre-kindergarten through grade five in the Springfield Public Schools once a month, October through February.

The goal of the program is to promote recreational reading and to increase the number of books in classroom libraries. Volunteers read specially selected books to the children and then leave the books as a gift from the program sponsor.
