Inniss named co-chair of LGBT Health Coalition
Hutson Inniss, Vice President of Community and Organizational Development at Tapestry Health, was recently elected co-chair of the National LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) Health Coalition a Washington, D.C., based group made up of 60 member organizations from across the country. It is the only organization dedicated solely to advocating for the health needs of the LGBT community on a federal level.
Inniss has served on the Board of Directors for five years. He served as Board secretary and on the Executive Committee since 2004. He was elected as co-chair serving with Henia Handler of Fenway Community Health Center in Boston. In his new role, Inniss expects his work with the Coalition to draw on his work at Tapestry Health where he has led the agency's LGBT services work. For the last decade, Inniss has worked in various administrative capacities with Tapestry Health. He was raised in Springfield and graduated from Westfield State College.
