Renaissance Manor on Cabot receives Tier One recognitionDate: 12/12/2014 HOLYOKE – Renaissance Manor on Cabot, a member of the Revera Inc. family is pleased to announce that the center has achieved the Tier One Recognition level as part of the American Health Care Association’s Quality Initiative Recognition Program (QIRP) for achieving the following Quality Initiative goals: Increasing customer satisfaction.
As our nation’s leaders and the public expect a higher quality, lower cost healthcare system, the Quality Initiative plays an important role by preparing providers for possible reimbursement changes based on quality outcomes; focusing on current national priorities and key indicators of quality care; encouraging efficiency with healthcare dollars; promoting consistent data measurement with continuing tracking; highlighting the importance of goal setting with sustainable improvement; and fostering person-centered care.
The Quality Initiative is an effort that builds upon the existing work of the long-term and post-acute care field by setting specific, measurable targets to further improve the quality of care in America’s skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities. American Health Care Association members are encouraged to reach defined, concrete goals over the next three years, in four core areas:
• Skilled nursing facilities are expected to safely reduce hospital readmissions within 30 days during a SNF stay by 15 percent; • Reduce turnover amongst nursing staff (RN, LPN/LVN, CNA) by 15 percent; • Increase the percentage of customers who are willing to recommend the facility to others up to 90 percent; and • Safely reduce the off-label use of antipsychotics by 15 percent.
Through hospital partnerships and a solid relationship with My InnerView, the center’s third-party vendor for customer satisfaction surveys, Renaissance Manor on Cabot has developed in-center programs and processes that have allowed the center to achieve this important standard set forth by the AHCA.
