GREATER SPRINGFIELD The Springfield Jewish Community Center (JCC) will host a Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament on Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. Buy-in is $75. Participants will compete for a prize pool valued at $2,000 (based on 100 participants). Any business or individual who would like to sponsor a table for $200 will receive one admission and signage prior to and at event.
Proceeds from the tournament will support youth scholarship programs at the Springfield JCC, where everyone is welcome to participate in youth, fitness/athletic, and summer camp programs. The tournament is chaired by Robin Fein-Krevolin and Jerry Munic.
"When the JCC leadership was discussing a new project to raise funds in support of its youth programming, I thought the poker tournament was a great option," Robin Fein-Krevolin said. "Participants will have great fun while competing for bragging rights and prizes while supporting youth programming."
The Springfield JCC is located at 1160 Dickinson St. (on the corner of Converse and Dickinson streets).
