Politician's tour makes stop in Longmeadow
Lieutenant Governor Candidate Reed V. Hillman visited Longmeadow on August 24. Inside Starbucks on Williams Street, Hillman conversed with local teachers about education and state aid. State Representative Mary Rogeness (R -Longmeadow) hosted Hillman for the day. Retired Longmeadow teacher Peg Landon told The Reminder she turned out to hear Hillman's platform and ideas. She said Longmeadow is at a point in time where the school system needs more support from the state and community to restore its former standard of excellence.
