| Go FIT and WGBY teamed up to bring the Teletubbies' friend Noo-Noo, the vacuum cleaner to the Springfield Day Nursery's Sumner Avenue school as part of the Teletubbies National Day of Exercise on Wednesday. The 75 children at the school, who ranged in age form three to five years-old, first watched a special Teletubbies exercise video. Led by Go FIT members Amy Greenbaum and Doug Plavin (above) the children went through a series of exercises that showed the importance of physical movement. After that program, the children had the opportunity of meeting Noo-Noo and getting their photo taken with him. Seen (inset) are Connor Smith (left) and Nyalah Green (right). Susan Jaye Kaplan, president and founder of Go FIT, said this program is one of 20 such exercise programs the local non-profit fitness organization will bring to area school in the coming year.
