WESTFIELD Step out and get a taste of Westfield's best during the sixth annual Downtown Westfield Restaurant and Pub Tour, sponsored by the Westfield Business Improvement District's (WBID), on April 30.
The event is part of the Westfield on Weekends WinterGeen Days.
The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a kickoff party at the Maple Leaf Inn, 11 Arnold St., featuring a free appetizer buffet, music and prizes. The tour begins at 7:30 p.m. at Church Street Commons, 48 Elm St. Tickets are $12 per person at the door or $10 if purchased in advance online at
www.westfieldonweekends.com.
"It's a self-guided tour; people can get a group of friends together and walk [the tour]," Patti Conroy, administrative assistant for the WBID, said. "Right now we have nine different, distinct locations that are participating."
She said the tour extends from Tommy D's Courtyard Pub at 252 Elm St., to The Tavern Restaurant at 2 Broad St.
To add to the evening's festivities, Conroy said the tour would have a Kentucky Derby theme, with participants invited to play Derby-themed games for raffle prizes along the way.
