Hole-in-one hitter wins 42" plasma TV

WILBRAHAM The Affiliated Chamber of Commerce of Greater Springfield hosts seven golf tournaments each year for each of its independent Chambers throughout the region. Some of these tournaments have been ongoing for more than 20 years.

This year the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional Chamber of Commerce celebrated the first hole-in-one ever to be made at a Chamber tournament. The foursome of Michael Fuss, Dennis Lopata, Aram Vartanian and Mark Nowak made the lucky shot.

The hole in on prize was donated by Daniel Burack of Burack Reality.

"I have been offering this hole in one prize for the past five years at dozens of tournaments and this is the first time I will be giving one away," Burack said.

The prize was a 42" definition plasma television.

Proceeds from this tournament are used for scholarships and in support of the Entrepreneurial Class at Minnechaug Regional High School. To date, the Hampden/Wilbraham Chamber of Commerce has donated more than $20,000 to these programs.

Kathy Fuss accepted the television in her husband's absence at the Wilbraham Country Club on Stony Hill Road.
