Manchonis Road home invaded on Jan. 23

WILBRAHAM -- On Jan. 23 at 9:55 p.m., a resident of Manchonis Road called the dispatch center and reported that she had been held hostage in her house for three hours.

Upon the arrival of Officer Joseph Brewer, the victim reported that she was bound and gagged by three subjects after they had forced their way into her residence. She reported to the investigating officers that she had been punched, held at knife point and told to cooperate as they had a gun. The subjects, unknown to her demanded money and drugs.

The subjects were described by the victim as:

  • Black male, 5'4", slim, wearing a black hoodie,

  • Hispanic male, less than 5'4", average weight, wearing a black jacket, and

  • Hispanic male, 5'9", slim, wearing a hoodie and an army style jacket.


  • The conditions at the scene were consistent with the victim's statement.

    The victim was treated at the Baystate Medical Center for minor injuries and released.

    The investigation is being conducted by Officer Brewer and Sergeant Glen Clark. Anyone with information regarding this event or recent suspicious activity in the Manchonis Road neighborhood should call the Wilbraham Police Department at 596-3837.

    In February 2008 the same residence was the location of the service of a search warrant for controlled substances by officers from Wilbraham, Springfield and the Massachusetts State Police.
