Agawam Remembers 9/11The Town of Agawam’s Fire Department hosted a 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony to honor them memory of the Americans who died in the terrorists attacks on the World Trade Towers in New York, the Pentagon, and aboard United flight 93, which crashed in a field in Pennsylvania ten years ago on Sept 11. The ceremony, which was attended by state and local politicians, members of the clergy, children and representatives of the department, took place in front of the memorial designed by City Councilor George Bitzas.
