SOUTHAMPTON – The town of Southampton is gearing up for the Nov. 8 general election with the release of important early in-person voting dates.
According to Town Clerk Luci Dalton, early in-person voting for Southampton begins Oct. 22 to Nov. 3 during regular business hours in the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will, however, be no early in-person voting on Oct. 23, 28 and 30. On Oct. 22 and 29, meanwhile, early in-person voting will occur from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The second batch of vote-by-mail postcards are being sent from the state, according to a post by the Southampton’s Town Clerk office.
“If voters have sent one back for the September election and checked off all elections you do not have to do anything, as soon as we get the ballots, we will start mailing them out,” said Dalton. “Those voters who are just getting these postcards from this mailing, we must receive them back in our office by November 1.”
Election Day is Nov. 8 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voting will be conducted at the Town Clerk office.
