CDC offering class to businesses on applying for grants

Date: 9/8/2022

HILLTOWNS – The Hilltown Community Development Corporation is offering a free class to Hilltown business owners on how to apply for two grants being offered by the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC): Empower Digital, a grant of $5,000 for digital business resources, and Biz-M-Power, a matching crowdfunding grant of up to $40,000.

Hilltown CDC business consultant and entrepreneur Dee Dice will teach this virtual class on Sept. 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The class will cover eligibility, guidelines and application information to help business owners easily apply for the two grants currently being offered by the MGCC. Starting from eligibility to completion, this workshop will arm all participants with exactly what they need to apply and what are eligible uses of the grants. It will supply them with valuable templates and information to complete the application seamlessly.

Dice is a serial entrepreneur and an independent business consultant. She started selling cross-country skis during college and since then has had several businesses including a fruit and produce market, a catering business, landscape business, and a seasonal Christmas tree and holiday shop. She is certified with Constant Contact, the email service provider, and with Liveplan, a business-planning software. She previously served as business coordinator with the Valley CDC in Northampton.
