HUNTINGTON — The Summer Music Series on the Green kicked off on July 7 with singer-songwriter Grayson Ty accompanied by Jeff Lynch, and a special one-time-only appreciation picnic of hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, lemonade and cake.
For the rest of the summer, bands are scheduled to play every Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Music lovers are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and join the fun, but leave pets at home. In case of rain, concerts will move inside to Stanton Hall.
The summer lineup includes S&M Acoustic Duo on July 14; Hot Shot Hillbillies country and classic rock on July 21; local rock and roll band The 413s on July 28, the James Paul Duo, also rock and roll, on Aug. 4; folk, rock, country and blues act Jack Waldheim on Aug. 11, and Greg Reil, featuring ’90s country, classic pop and southern rock on Aug. 18.
The concerts are sponsored by the Huntington Community Events Committee. For more information, follow the Huntington Community Events Committee page on Facebook.com.
