THREE RIVERS – The Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Food Truck, Farmers and Artisans Market from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hryniewicz Park on Aug. 12. This will be their second market of the summer, as they hosted one previously on July 8.
The event offers free admission, live music, entertainment and over 40 artisan vendors. Woodpecker Crafts, Leather Unleashed, Bumble’s Bees, Boxcar Bricks, D & E Farm, Made in America Metal Art and Two Crafty Cricketeers are just some of the many vendors that will be at the event.
Event Coordinator Carol Seaver said, “We had a good turnout within the town on July 8. For August 12, we have added vendors for a total of 43 and we have two additional food trucks coming, SNKC Vending and Patruno’s Place.”
Seaver went on to say, “These events are community outreach; to bring the community together, help local businesses and people to see what’s around.”
The Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest chambers in the area. Organized in 1917, and as more and more businesses turned to the chamber for support, they decided to incorporate and become official in 1940. The chamber was established to recognize the authority to deal with matters of interest to businesses of the general public and follow prosperity to the community to promote the general welfare of the Village of Three Rivers.
The chamber started hosting these events last year. They wanted to do something for the community, but also knew it had to be something outdoors because of COVID-19, which is how the Food Truck, Farmers & Artisans Market was born. They host two of these markets a year, and might expand to three next year. Then the chamber has a larger event in October.
“I’m very excited,” Seaver happily said. “I still get nervous because I want everything to go well. I’m looking forward to seeing people enjoy themselves, eat good food, finding unique items, listen to music and just have a great time.”
At this time, no vendor spots are available, but if anyone would like to be on the cancellation list, they should contact Seaver at naturalcair@gmail.com.
