HAMPDEN — Hundreds of people stood in line for admission to Hampden’s Bethlehem Baptist Church’s rendition of “A Bethlehem Christmas” on Dec. 8. The event featured over 70 cast members and parishoners who all acted as various shepherds, herbalists, basket weavers, potters and merchants as the public took a guided tour “from Nazareth to Bethlehem.” Hand-painted sets lined the hallways, and live chickens, a pony, and two donkeys could be found “in Bethlehem.”
