HAMPDEN – The Bethlehem Church, 123 Allen St., hosted a Pumpkin Party on Oct. 31. Families viewed carved pumpkins, trunk or treated, enjoyed storytime, live music and giveaways, while kids participated in a costume parade.
The event was sponsored by the Hampden Fire and Police Departments, Hampden Free Library and Hampden Lions Club.
Bethlehem Church Director of Connection and Outreach Lorie Cooney said the since the church is unable to have its traditional “A Bethlehem Christmas” program, they decided to make some changes to the trunk-or-treat format in order to give the community a pandemic-safe celebration.
