Editor’s note: The following letter is from an East Longmeadow man whose beloved dog was recently killed by a coyote. He wrote the letter to alert other pet owners to the potential danger in their own back yards.
Dogs truly are a gift from God. And Molly was indeed a special gift to us.
It was through her friendliness, intelligence, playfulnesss and unconditional love that Molly was woven into the fabric of our family from the day she came to us until the day she left us. Were it a holiday, a birthday or even a tag sale, Molly could be seen in many photos right along side us, enjoying the occasion.
Molly endeared herself to us in many ways – how she would pick up a toy and begin to run around whenever you entered the house will always remain a vivid memory.?Or the way she would sit right next to you or perch herself upon the lap of whomever she pleased showed how open and friendly she was toward everyone. We loved Molly as she loved us all. May she rest in peace.
