Camp Bement Alumni News

Date: 10/4/2010

The Bement Alumni Association (BAA) is preparing for its first annual meeting and reunion on Oct. 16. We would like to reach out to all Bement alumni and friends of Bement. Join us for a wonderful day of greeting old friends and making new ones.

We will be gathering at Bement from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the annual business meeting from 1 to 2 p.m. with fun and games to follow until 5 p.m.

If you would like to attend please contact us at: bement-alumni@aol.com or 508-886-8978, or come to our Facebook page: Help re-open Bement Camp and Conference Center.

Recently, the BAA received long anticipated news from the IRS that we are now a Federal 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. This is exciting news; now donations to the BAA will be tax-deductible and even donations made after Nov. 10 of 2009 will be retroactively deductible.

Many old friends and new ones have united and are working to save our beloved camp. You can learn more about the BAA and donate to the cause of saving Bement by going to our Web site, savebement.org and making your donation through our PayPal link it is quick and painless. If you don't feel comfortable donating through the Internet, you can mail your donation to: Bement Alumni Association, 5 Stevens Way, Rutland, MA 01543

If you know any Bementers who have moved away, please pass this information to them. So many have benefited from the special spirit that is Bement, let's not allow future generations to be denied this experience.

The BAA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation seeking to purchase and restore Camp Bement. Together we can save Bement.
