| Mayor Ryan is absolutely right, saying "Crime in Springfield shouldn't be politicized." Dominic Sarno is also absolutely right, saying, "There is a fear factor in the city." The mayor should not minimize nor pooh-pooh it, for the sake of an image. Commissioner Flynn should publicize each crime and not label serious crime as misdemeanors or "domestic disputes," etc. etc. He should also better utilize the special State Police at his disposal. The "fight" at a Central High football game was really a full-blown riot. A police officer was stabbed and a gun was brandished.
