End assault

Date: 10/25/2012

What kind of America are we leaving our children and grandchildren?

Gas is over $4 a gallon. 23 million people are unemployed.

The national debt is $16 trillion. It will reach $20 trillion if President Obama is re-elected.

Millions of homes are in foreclosure and 5.3 million are 30 days late. Families are struggling to hold on. For 3 years, a Democrat-controlled Senate has not passed a budget.

Do you trust the government or the media when they report there is no inflation?

As Ronald Reagan said, "Government is not the solution to our problem. Government is the problem ... I will not stand by and watch this great country destroy itself under mediocre leadership that drifts from one crisis to the next, eroding our national will and purpose. We have come together here because the American people deserve better from those to whom they entrust our nation's highest offices, and we stand united in our resolve to do something about it."

Printing and borrowing trillions of dollars to pay for Obama's expansion of government, failed stimulus programs and bailouts, 4 years of trillion dollar deficits and two wars on a credit card has given us inflation, devalued the dollar by 40 percent, and lowered the credit rating of the United States.

Government policies and both parties have played a role in creating our problems. Does anyone believe the government or either party will cut the size and cost of government?" Health care costs and entitlement spending are out of control and unsustainable. Obamacare cuts $718 billion dollars out of Medicare, is opposed by 60 percent of Americans and is the only piece of social legislation to not receive a single vote from the opposing party. Maybe Congress should have read it before they passed it?

Our country is in real trouble. America and our future are too important not to defend. The greatest threat facing America is the fiscal irresponsibility of our government leaders. People are concerned deeply about America, and want to be involved in something they can believe in. That something must first be trusting in God, our country and each other.

Many Americans feel their voice is not heard and vote does not count. Two political parties controlled from the top conspire to maintain control and polarize the voters. A control that comes more from those who own the giant corporate, media, rather than local control of the people.

Today, 98 percent of Americans have never worked on or donated to a political campaign. Why do we even think we are self-governing? We need to work together to end this assault on free markets, the dollar and our American way of life.
