The BIG H Hampden Arts Festival was a great success. There was wonderful art and musical performances, good food, happy children with painted faces and balloon hats and fun for everyone. Thanks to the following local businesses and organizations who donated funds, facilities, materials and personnel and support for the festival: The Hampden Cultural Council, The Town of Hampden selectmen and support services, The Hampden Free Public Library, The Hampden Garden Club, The Hampden Historical Society, Hampden Sign Company, Hampden Engineering Corp., Monson Savings Bank, The Scantic River Artists, the Minnechaug Key Club, The Minnechaug High School Art Department, The Wilbraham/Monson Academy Art Department, The Federated Community Church of Hampden, S.W. We extend a very special thank you to all the artists and musicians, the balloon man (Larry Blake) and students from the Minnechaug Key Club who painted all those smiling faces.
