Protect the quality of life

I am voting Yes on Article 23 at next Monday's town meeting. I understand that this does not affect any industrial jobs we might get. It does not affect any office park we might get. In fact, it only affects big box retail stores, which have grown out of proportion anyway.

By comparison, a 65,000 square foot store is bigger than the Stop & Shop in East Longmeadow. that's certainly big enough for our small town.

I agree with those who say that if we don't limit these developers, they will push for whatever they can get away with. It's time to set some limits, and protect the quality of life in East Longmeadow. Because once we lose that, there's no big box store that can sell it back to us.
