| At the Dec. 1 Select Board meeting, Chairman Haberman again cut the Visitor Comments short. Those that were able to speak had comments abput water/sewer bills ... Haberman replied ... "We are working on it" and didn't want to hear residents. We paid $22,500 for a consultant. We were told because we needed money for repairs and increase cost from Springfield. Now we hear the increase was because we should learn to conserve... Why not, conserve by limit use to odd/even days? Why not have an OPEN FORUM to inform residents? Thanks to the Altmans for taking time and research to find the Select Board and Town Manager were not in compliance with Mass. General Law. So the question is, when is our Select Board going to start working for the best interest of town residents? Which is their job? Eleanor Stolar Longmeadow |
