Very pleased with Driscoll's amendment

I attended the meeting of East Longmeadow First! on April 4 and the Planning Board meeting at the high school on April 10. I was very pleased to find out that Selectman Jim Driscoll has submitted a zoning amendment to the Planning Board limiting the size of new retail and business construction to 40,000 square feet. This is a smart thing to do because it ensures that East Longmeadow retains its small town charm and keeps "Big Box" stores from developing in town. I don't want my hometown to look like Riverdale Road or Boston Road. Remember to vote Yes on the size cap at the town meeting on May 1.
