Teen lands spot in 2006 USA Gymnastics Jr. Olympics

Natalie Saimeri a 15-year-old freshman from East Longmeadow and was awarded a spot into the 2006 USA gymnastics Junior Olympic level 9 eastern nationals. She will be headed to Nashville, Tennessee on April 20-22, 2006.

In early April, Natalie attended the regionals competition in Syracuse New York. She finished the meet placing fifth with an all around score of 35.225, awarding her a spot into the nationals competition.

The states that were competing in the regionals competition were: Maine, NH, Vermont, RI, MA, CT, and new York.

Natalie placed third on beam in the region, sixth place on vault and fifth place All-Around to make her mark in the gymnastics sport.

Her coach, who also happens to be her dad Joe Saimeri said he is very proud of Natalie's hard work and dedication to gymnastics.

"This is a hard sport, five days a week practice with four hours a day Natalie makes us all proud," Saimeri said.

He and his wife Anne Saimeri own All American Gymnastic Academy in Wilbraham. All her teammates and staff at All American expressed their excitement for her and said, "Go get 'em in Nashville."
