Glitz and Glamour for a Good Cause
Treat yourself to a night of glitz and glamour for a good cause
SPRINGFIELD On May 13, treat yourself to a night of glitz, glamour and fun at the MassMutual Center for the American Cancer Society's Omar T. Pace, MD, Gala.
As you step out in style to enjoy this spectacular evening, you are supporting the American Cancer Society's Camp Rising Sun, a free summer camp for children with cancer.
This year's gala will pay special tribute to Sister of Providence, Mary Caritas, SP, for her contributions to the fight against cancer.
Event co-chairmen, Gary Fialky, Esq., Bacon & Wilson, P.C. and David Glidden, President, Banknorth, will present Sister Mary Caritas with the annual Omar T. Pace, MD Award, a prestigious honor awarded for the past 13 years to community leaders who have made a significant difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families throughout Western Massachusetts. Both Fialky and Glidden are past recipients of Omar T. Pace, MD, Award.
Attendees at this year's event, a "Black Tie Invited" Gala, will enjoy an evening of dancing and entertainment by the Floyd Patterson Band, fine dining, and a silent auction.
Auction items include a sky diving adventure, Celtic's tickets, a Cape Cod getaway, fine wine, and unique artwork.
Sarah Daigle, a cancer survivor, and current Camp Rising Sun counselor, will share her story of survival throughout the evening.
Now in its fourteenth year, the Omar T. Pace event has raised over $500,000 to benefit the Society's programs of research, education, advocacy, and patient services.
