Noble Hospital taps Aliotta for chief of medicine positionDate: 2/14/2011 WESTFIELD Noble Hospital has announced several staff appointments, effective Jan. 1.
Dr. Armand A. Aliotta has been appointed chief of medicine at Noble Hospital.
Aliotta, who has worked at the hospital since 1986, earned his medical degree from the Universita di Pavia in Pavia, Italy. He completed both an internship and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Aliotta is board certified in neurology.
Dr. Jacques Blanchet has been appointed chief of emergency medicine. Blanchet recently joined Noble Hospital after serving as director of the emergency department at Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC) in Greenfield. He also previously served as director of medical affairs at BFMC.
Blanchet earned his medical degree at the Medical School McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
He completed residencies in family medicine at Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, in emergency medicine at Denver General Hospital in Denver, Col., as well as at Denver Health Medical Center. Blanchet is board certified in emergency medicine.
Dr. Craig Schacher has been elected as medical staff secretary/treasurer of the Noble Hospital medical staff.
Schacher, who has worked at the hospital since 1997, earned his medical degree from the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.
He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Baystate Medical Center. Schacher is board certified in emergency medicine.
